All Electrolux washing machine models are equipped with a self-diagnosis function. In the event of a malfunction, signals appear on the control panel.
Information error code (if the control panel of the household appliance is equipped with a special display) or blinking in a certain sequence of light indicators.
Understanding the malfunction signals will help you quickly determine the cause of the breakdown and decide whether it is worth carrying out the repair yourself or whether it is more advisable to use the services of a service center technician.

Error codes for Electrolux washing machines with display
If the control panel of the Electrolux washing machine is equipped with a special display (liquid crystal panel), then the device gives a signal about a malfunction in the form of an information code (letters and numbers). It is enough to decipher the alphanumeric code to determine the exact cause of the breakdown of the household appliance.

Fault signals for Electrolux washing machines without display
An Electrolux washing machine without a display on the control panel signals a malfunction by flashing indicators. Depending on the type of control module (EWM 1000 or EWM 2000), the combination of code flashes and the method of decoding them differs.
In a washing machine with an EWM 1000 control module (you can check the type of module in the passport of the household appliance), the error code can be deciphered by the blinking of two LED lights located near the “Start/Pause” and “End of washing” buttons (pictured item 2).
The number of flashes of the first LED is the first digit of the error code. The second digit of the code is determined by the number of flashes of the second indicator.
For example: the first indicator blinked three times, after two seconds the second indicator blinked five times. This combination of blinking indicators indicates error E35.
In a washing machine with an EWM 2000 control module, eight LED lights (located vertically on the right side of the panel) are used to decipher the breakdown signal. The four upper lights are responsible for the first digit of the error code, the four lower LEDs are responsible for the second digit of the code (in the photo, item 3, item 4). LED light counting starts from bottom to top.
Using the table, let's look at the example of decoding error code E53. In the bottom row of four indicators, the first and third lights light up, in the top row of four indicators, the first and second lights light up.

How to reset?
In order to reset the error code in a washing machine with a program selector, you need to simultaneously press the buttons as shown in the figure:
For washing machines without a selector, the error is reset by simultaneously pressing buttons 2,4 (see figure):
Call the master
Repairing a washing machine is a rather complex process that requires certain knowledge and skills. Despite the fact that the built-in self-diagnosis system through an error code helps you independently determine the cause of the malfunction without understanding the internal structure, it is better to entrust the repair of the washing machine to professionals.
When submitting an application you must provide:
- washing machine model,
- year of its release,
- error code.
After a visual inspection and more detailed diagnostics, the technician will be able to tell you how much it will cost to repair a household appliance.
Under no circumstances should you pay in full for unfinished work by a craftsman.. Otherwise, there is a high risk that the “repair” will not be completed.
Depending on what led to the appearance of the error code, restoring the functionality of the Electrolux washing machine will cost from 1,500 rubles. up to 3500 rub.
Conclusion
The self-diagnosis system of the Electrolux washing machine helps to quickly determine the cause of the malfunction without disassembling the household appliance into parts. It is enough to decipher the signals (error code) on the control panel to decide whether to repair it yourself.
