What documents are it regulated by?
Cleaning of the workplace in production is regulated by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. Documents that address this issue:

Another task that cleaning pursues is ensuring employee safety. If the site is cluttered, there is a risk of injury on the job.
A misplaced angle grinder or jackhammer can cause serious injury.
Dusty rooms increase the likelihood of developing infectious and allergic diseases. For example, metal shavings and wood dust can damage the mucous membrane of the eyes, skin and respiratory system.

The following types are distinguished: cleaning the workplace, regardless of the specifics of production:
- daily, it is performed every shift;
- weekly;
- monthly;

Rules
Daily industrial cleaning includes putting the workplace in order. Machines are cleaned of:
- dust,
- metal shavings,
- sawdust or other debris.

Basic rules for conducting daily cleaning:
- Checking the tools stored at the workplace. Inspection and removal of dust from workbenches, bedside tables, cabinets. Delivery of broken equipment for repair or disposal.
If a tool is found at the workplace that is rarely used, it is returned to the warehouse. The remaining equipment for performing the work is carefully laid out, observing strict order.
- Removing from the workplace all items that are not required for work. It should not contain defective parts, unnecessary boxes, etc.
- Inspect the workplace for the correct location of all devices. If something needs rearranging, it is fixed.
- Bringing all machines into a neat appearance. If repairs are necessary, contact a mechanic or other responsible person.
The employee must make suggestions to optimize actions aimed at bringing order to the workplace.
Weekly cleaning is carried out according to a predetermined schedule. It specifies not only the scope of the upcoming work, but also the names of the responsible persons.
One day per week is selected on which employees stay after their shift and carry out planned activities. In the process of weekly processing of the workplace, they clean up hard-to-reach places that cannot be cleaned every day.
Annual cleaning is planned in advance. It includes not only processing the workplace, but also washing the walls, ceiling, and windows. Clutter in work places must be eliminated. A specially created commission monitors the implementation of annual cleaning.
Who should do it?
Cleaning of the workplace is carried out by the machine operator, operator or other official who owns it. He must fulfill his duties efficiently, since the safety of the enterprise depends on this.
Quality assessment criteria cleaning:
- bad - the workplace is dirty, there is a mess everywhere;
- satisfactory - the workplace is clean;
- excellent - the employee establishes and constantly maintains exemplary order.
The cleaning process at the enterprise is controlled by the foreman responsible for the area entrusted to him.
How he copes with his responsibilities the shop manager is observing. He must walk around the area at least once a week, check the condition of the cabinets in which tools are stored, and also monitor the cleanliness of the workplace.
If any process is carried out with violations, it is he who will report to senior management.
Safety precautions
Cleaning of the workplace at the enterprise must be carried out in accordance with safety rules. They are enshrined in the Labor Code. Violation of standards is unacceptable.

- A specific employee is assigned certain duties that he must perform.
- You must start cleaning in work uniform, using personal protective equipment.
- The employee is obliged to comply with the charter of the enterprise and the internal labor regulations developed by management. When a new order is issued, every worker must be familiar with it. This is confirmed by a signature in a special document.
- It is necessary to comply with labor protection requirements. When cleaning, you must make sure that all equipment is securely fastened and used correctly.
- If situations arise that could harm a person’s health or pose a threat to his life, this must be immediately reported to management.
- It is unacceptable to eat food in the workplace, even if the area is cleaned daily. Separate rooms should be provided for this purpose.
- Employees showing signs of illness are not allowed to perform cleaning. If suddenly a person begins to feel unwell, he needs to inform his boss about it.
